Why anonymous
Every engagement letter I ever signed had a confidentiality clause, and I signed a lot of them. A named former client who reviews the banks he may need again is a man with a short career in both directions. So: no name.
For the avoidance of doubt
- It is a small industry with a long memory and a good filing system.
- My name is on file somewhere already. It need not be here too.
- Compliance has time, and questions.
- Anonymous, so that lunch remains possible.
The figures do not need one. They have sources. The opinions are mine and are marked as such, and if you want to argue with one, the contact page works and I read it.
What I will say: fifteen years on the client side of the table, one IPO, two bond issues, three disposals, one aborted sale I still mind about, and something like two hundred pitches. Out of it now. Mystery shopping the banks for sport.
